"Our goal is clear: build the world’s largest green energy plant in the North Sea.
By joining hands, we will accelerate the energy transition, strengthen our technological leadership and provide millions of European households and businesses with zero carbon energy.
I’m looking forward to welcoming you to the North Sea Summit II in Ostend."
Alexander De Croo, Prime Minister of Belgium
The North Sea Summit II in Ostend follows in the footsteps of the first edition of the North Sea Summit held in May 2022 in Esbjerg, Denmark.
In addition to the founding countries of Belgium, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands, the North Sea Summit II in Ostend will also bring together France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Norway and Luxembourg. This is the largest ever coalition around energy in the North Sea.
Making this summit an example of geopolitical resilience but also a springboard for our industry and for European innovation.
